Where You Can Fish

The map below shows where fishing qualifies for this event. You can open the map in Google Maps on your phone by clicking the “view larger map” icon in the top right corner of the map. The yellow boundary is meant to indicate that you can fish :

  • anywhere at Utah Lake out on the water, frozen or not
  • at any of the 27 public access points, shown with RED pins on the map
  • for tributaries and other inflows, the line specifically marks how far from the lake you can fish. The Fishfest is meant to be at Utah Lake. For example, at Hobble Creek, you can fish anywhere west of I-15 but not east of I-15. At Provo River, you can fish the river from inside Utah Lake State Park back to the bridge, but not further. Zoom in on the map for further detail or contact the Utah Lake Commission for further questions.

Like other “photo submission” style fishing challenges, this card is meant to ensure all photo submissions are of fish caught during the Fishfest, which runs Feb 8, 2021 to Feb 15, 2021.

Rules of the Winter Fishfest

The goal is for this to be a simple, fun and educational challenge. That said, the rules are meant to be simple as well. Click the button below for full challenge rules.
