You may recall when we publicized the National Guard FLW Outdoors Western Region Collegiate Championship Fishing Tournament held at Utah Lake in the late summer. The three-day event brought the best collegiate bass fishermen from the western US to compete for a chance to be in the national championship next spring. It even included a local team from Utah Valley University.
This wasn’t just a simple tournament. FLW brought film crews to follow the fishermen over the course of the tournament and took a lot of video of the college teams out on Utah Lake, as well as our region. Participants and sponsors were amazed at the beauty of the lake. It should be a great way to showcase what great resources we have.
The footage they took at the tournament has been edited into a one-hour fishing show that will be broadcast on Sunday, November 4 on NBC Sports at 11:00 a.m. (MST).
